This limited edition print of sheep in the
snow shows the
rich colouring that a snowy winter landscape
painting can
have. The snow is rarely just a 'white
blanket on the ground',
colourful shadows and reflected light from a soft winter sky
all play an important part in creating such a scene.
I painted these sheep just as I saw them, working their way across
the snow covered field, grazing where the thaw had
melted the snow and
revealed the winter grass beneath.
