Title - The Old Hay Rake Limited edition of 200 prints Original painting - Sold This painting of cockerels in an orchard with old farm machinery is typical of the farming subjects I love to paint. The hay rake now lies rusting and abandoned in the corner of an orchard, it's twisted red ochre frame slowly returning to the earth. It has now become a favourite roost of the farmyard hens, although the white hen in the painting seems more interested in escaping the two cockerels who frequent the old farm orchard. |
