This painting of a long haired farm cat is a very simple composition, but shows a the cat washing himself, perhaps
after a successful hunt in the barn - or maybe just for the
pleasure of it!

The hens in the background feel no threat from the farm cat,
they are quite used to him, but I noticed that they still
preferred to keep their distance.
