The painting of a siamese cat sitting on a lawn and surrounded
by
Crocuses,
has
a
very
simple background
as I didn't want to draw attention away from those marvelous sparkling blue eyes.
The warm glow of the yellow crocus flowers is absorbed by the cats creamy fur,
while a foreground drift of purple crocus adds
a splash of colour to enliven
the painting.
