This Limousin cattle painting was completed after a trip to Brockholes Farm near Doncaster, to photograph the breed for
a commission I had received. The cattle were in the farmyard,
so the landscape was added as I worked on the painting back
in the studio.

Limousin cattle are well known for the quality of the beef they produce, and were introduced from France in the early 1970's.
