These four geese seem to be playing 'follow the leader' as
they all line up to take a swim in the pond. The shade under
the island willow tree just isn't enough for the heat of midday,
and the cool water looks so inviting.

This small oil painting of geese about to take a swim has a simple composition, with loose bold brush strokes forming
strong blocks of colour, all helping to create the moment as
I witnessed it one hot summers day.
