The mother displays a sensitive and gentle nature in this painting of a horse and foal. The foal had just been chasing a pigeon that wandered too close and seems to have gone back to mum to tell the story. I have often sketched this black and white gypsy cob horse in it's field, and included it in other landscape paintings. |
