The curious little calf in this painting wants to find out what
is going on. Everything is new to him, and an artist carrying painting equipment across his field deserves investigation.

His natural curiosity makes a great focal point to this painting
of cows and calves in a field. A single photograph, with just a
few alterations, was enough to help me remember the scene
and complete this oil painting of cows and calves back in the studio a few days later.
