I chanced upon this group of four hens while out looking for subjects to paint on a nearby farm. It looked as if they were
just sitting around having a chat, waiting for the hot midday
sun to cool.

A small painting of hens like this can be very effective
when displayed either alone or with others, simple and colourful,
